Abstract

Stunting is a condition where children under the age of five (toddlers) do not grow due to chronic malnutrition, resulting in children being too short. The causes of stunting are multifactorial and start from the preconception, conception and postnatal periods. Two important conditions that must be controlled are adequate nutritional intake and infection protection. The aim of this activity is to help increase community awareness and concern, especially mothers, regarding providing additional food for children at risk of stunting in Tolongano Village, Donggala District. The method used in carrying out this activity is the observation and documentation method with direct opportunity to see and participate in the activity of providing additional feeding to toddlers with stunting status and carrying out documentation at each additional feeding. Based on data obtained, the number of toddlers at risk of stunting in Tolongan Village in 2023 is 65 toddlers. The most dominant factor associated with stunting in toddlers is aged 37-59 months with a total of 57 toddlers. Toddlers aged 37-59 months have a risk of experiencing stunting of 84%. In this activity, the gender of the toddlers was mostly female, namely 36 toddlers, while 29 toddlers were male. The results of the additional feeding activities carried out are reducing the number of toddlers at risk of stunting and increasing public understanding regarding the importance of nutritional intake for toddler growth.
