ABSTRACT
Diabetes Melitus is a severe chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin (a hormone that regulates blood sugar or glucose), or the boddy cannot effectively use the insulin it produces (WHO, 2016). This was an analytical observasional comparative study to compare the results of fasting blood glucose examination using the GOD-PAP method and the Strip method with a Cross-Sectional study design in patients with Diabetes Melitus at Puskesmas Sokaraja 1. The sample of this study was 56 patients, with the number or patients examined, 28 people. All samples from DM patients has had blood glucose levels more than the normal limit, and the measurement results showed a difference in fasting blood glucose levels with the GOD-PAP method and the Strip method was carried out using the T-Dependent Test, which showed a p-value=0.000 (p<0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant comparison of fasting blood glucose levels between the GOD-PAP method and strip method in Diabetes Melitus patients at Sokaraja Health Care Center 1.
